Pimsleur教材里的一些法语谚语，以及相应的英文和中文谚语。中文是我自己翻的，所以未必很贴切，欢迎指出问题。

1. Beaucoup de bruit pour rien.

Much ado about nothing.

干打雷不下雨。

2. Aussitôt dit, aussitôt fait.
No sooner said than done.
雷厉风行？

3. C'est simple comme bonjour.
It's as easy as falling off a log.
举手之劳。

4. Coûter les yeux de la tête.
To cost an arm and a leg.
代价高昂？

5. Il faut battre le fer pendant qu'il est chaud.
Strike while the iron is hot.
趁热打铁。

6. Il faut manger pour vivre, non vivre pour manger.
Eat to live, not live to eat.
吃饭是为了活着，而不是活着为了吃饭。

7. Jeter l'argent par les fenêtres.
To throw money down the drain.
钱打水漂了

8. L'argent n'a pas d'odeur.
Money has no smell.
钱不烫手？这个好像中文里没有对应的。

1. Les voyages forment la jeunesse.
Travel broadens the mind.
读万卷书，行万里路。后半句的意思。

2. Ne pas être dans son assiette.
To feel out of sorts.
不自在。

3. On apprend à tout âge.
Never too old to learn.
学习永远不嫌晚。

4. Pas de nouvelles, bonnes nouvelles.
No news is good news.
没有消息就是好消息。

5. Porter de l'eau à la rivière.
To carry coals to Newcastle.
锦上添花？

6. Rien de nouveau sous le soleil.
There is nothing new under the sun.
太阳底下没有新鲜事。

7. Tel père, tel fils.
Like father, like son.
这个我也拿不准。上梁不正下梁歪？或者是龙生龙，凤生凤，老鼠生儿打地洞，哈哈:P

8. Tous les chemins mènent à Rome.
All roads lead to Rome.
条条大路通罗马。

9. Une tempête dans un verre d'eau.
A tempest in a teapot.
